Mubarez Herawi
This group consisting of Khawārij, is one that (whilst wearing a cloak of piety) assaults the very foundations of religion. Throughout history, they have brought along nothing except pain and afflictions.
As far as the sayings of the Prophet (SAW) are concerned, they allude that most followers of this tribulation are bereft of true religious comprehension and intellect, simultaneously lacking a true and thorough understanding of Islamic law.
Consequently, they commit unforgivable crimes and injustices due to their wrong understanding of the Holy Quran and Sunnah. They began targeting the common folk and great scholars alike with great impunity.
When faced with rational evidence presented by the Ulema, the followers of this misguided group resort to dishonorable acts, including the martyrdom of scholars, following the ways of their forefathers.
Indeed, the Khawārij have assassinated numerous righteous scholars residing in Afghanistan, seeking to make the Ummah devoid of guidance and extinguish the luminaries of the truth.
Scholars such as Rahimullah Haqqani and Mujib-ur-Rahman Ansari (may Allah accept them) stood firm against these tribulations, resembling unyielding mountains, exposing the dark face of this malevolent group to all.
What these narrow-minded and myopic individuals must understand is that the lives of these scholars served as beacons of light for the Ummah, and their martyrdom will undoubtedly only lead to further awakening of this Ummah.
Although their voices may have been silenced as a result of their martyrdom, all praises due to Allah thousands of Ulema have graduated from their respective Madāris and have been granted the turban of excellence. Each of them is akin to water, poised to extinguish their faith-burning fire efficiently — In Shaa Allah.
