Shaheed Saeed Engineer Nangialy Fayyaz, the son of Muhammad Aman, demonstrated a courageous, religious, and mujahid personality. He was born in 1374 AH into a scholarly and devoted family in the village of Biland Baba Khail, Jaghatu district of Wardak province.

His initial education commenced under the guidance of the mosque’s Mullah Imam. At the tender age of seven, he enrolled in Ghazi Muhammad Jan Khan High School. Concurrently, he initiated his study of religious sciences at his village’s religious Madrasa, known as Farqaniyyah.

When the NATO forces invaded our dear country, Afghanistan. Every honest Muslim said that Jihad is necessary against encroaching invaders and oppressors.
So, the engineer Nangialy (Fayaz) decided to join Jihad against them. He often said, «When will I get the chance to fight the Americans directly?»

As time went on, the Muslims’ dislike for the invaders grew stronger every day. Groups of Mujahideen formed. Practically, the Jihad began to take place, and there were many brave people sacrificing their lives for the cause. Around the same time, Martyr Nangialy (Fayaz) joined Commander Najibullah’s (Ebrahimi) group and entered the dangerous battlefield of Jihad. He was still a young man at that time. Despite being well-educated, he possessed a deep sense of honor and determination, which were gifts from Allah, the Most High.

He was not afraid of any danger in the field of Jihad.

After passing the Konkur exam, he was admitted to Ghazni University’s Faculty of Economics. Despite facing great security difficulties, he completed his studies while actively participating in jihadi activities.

At the same time, an evil group called the Kharijites emerged in Nangarhar province. This group posed an additional challenge for the Mujahideen, although the mujahideen were fighting against the invaders.

To combat and suppress the Kharijites, the Mujahideen formed regular groups in various provinces. In Wardak province, a group was established under the leadership of Commander Maulvi Nurul Rahman (Nusrat), known as the «Red Unit.»

Nangialy, with his knowledge of jihadi tactics and skills, especially in the use of laser weapons, went to Nangarhar province with fellow mujahideen on the orders of the unit.

There, he fought bravely against the enemies of religion and country, ISIS, for almost 5 months. He eliminated many enemies and liberated several districts from their control.

He was so courageous that he would be the first to engage in face-to-face battles with the enemy.

On the 24th of the month of Dalwa in the year 1399 A.H., on Friday night, in the Sherzad district of Nangarhar, he and his dear friend Engineer Wali Rahman Rehan were martyred in a drone attack by Khawarij leaders, attaining the esteemed position of martyrdom. May Allah accept and approve their sacrifices.

But when he wanted to go to Nangarhar province, he not only asked his mother for permission but also told her, «Mom, if I die as a martyr, please don’t cry for me! My friends will feel sad. Jihad is an important duty; every day, brave individuals and knowledgeable scholars lose their lives, but we are insignificant in comparison.»

The same thing happened when the funeral of Martyr Nangialy (Fayaz) was brought to the village. Everyone was sad and talking about how he was a good person — polite, religious, sincere, and honest. But his mother didn’t cry at all. She told everyone, «My son devoted himself to Allah’s religion, and Allah accepted him.»

Around five thousand people, including scholars, teachers, students, and common people, attended the funeral of Martyr Engineer Nangialy Fayaz and Martyr Engineer Wali Rahman Rayhan. They were interred with utmost reverence in the ancestral cemetery of Biland Baba Khail village.
