On Friday, August 23, an incident of hostage-taking within a Russian penitentiary made headlines worldwide. In this incident, four inmates took several fellow prisoners and prison guards captive, ultimately murdering them. A subsequent confrontation with security forces resulted in the deaths of all four perpetrators.
Initial reports suggested Daesh’s involvement, echoing a prior occurrence in Rostov prison, where six inmates, purportedly affiliated with Daesh, had also taken prison guards hostage. The Daeshi Khawārij claimed responsibility for the Volgograd incident in their weekly newspaper «Al-Naba» and mentioned that these «mujahideen» had repented of their past actions after reforming.
This statement may have baffled many, but when the identities of these individuals and their litany of crimes were unveiled in the media, it became clear that Daesh’s claim of these individuals’ repentance was merely an attempt to portray them as so-called mujahideen rather than criminals.
Indeed, it was initially presumed that these detainees in Russia were incarcerated for reasons of religious or jihadist pursuits. However, the truth is otherwise; these individuals were all apprehended for drug trafficking.
Now, the question arises: On what grounds are the Daeshi Khawarij exacting retribution for these four drug traffickers, as Daesh itself has acknowledged? How can they justify avenging these individuals upon two billion Muslims?
The answer to this question becomes clear upon reflection. As Daesh’s ideology and foundation are based on falsehood and deception, no knowledgeable religious scholar or even a common Muslim with basic understanding can fall into their trap.
These Daeshi deceive ignorant and foolish people—nothing new, as this has been their hallmark, clearly pointed out by the Prophet (peace be upon him) fourteen hundred years ago, calling them «Sufaha al-Ahlam» (foolish and ignorant).
Today, the Muslim Ummah is witnessing the exact fulfillment of these signs, which were foretold by the beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) fourteen hundred years ago. These are the fundamental signs by which Allah has protected the Muslims from this great fitnah (trial).
